Superface - State your business e.p.

From Leeds, the city that in recent years has given us Kaiser Chiefs, Corinne Bailey-Rae and The Pigeon Detectives comes another great act; Superface. The sound mixes up big rock noises, heavy funk breakbeats, brooding atmosphere and catchy hooks. Think Hendrix and Ian Brown with a touch of Massive Attack. Tracks from Superface’s debut EP ‘State Your Business’ have been featured on BBC Radio Leeds, www.totalrock.com and Rock Radio FM.

The EP is the brainchild of guitarist and producer Robin Durbin. As a session guitarist Durbin has supported
Jamiroquai, Beverley Knight, Samantha Mumba, and Liberty X. He has worked with vocalist Rhianna Kenny (‘Oh Baby’ ‘Word Love’ LSK, Faithless, Ian Brown), Martha (& the Vandellas) Reeves, Skip ‘Little Axe’ McDonald (Sugarhill Gang, Tackhead) and Leeds’ own Corinne Bailey-Rae.

’The one man behind Superface has the funk, that's for sure. On the evidence of his State Your Business EP he also knows all about big guitar licks, and melodrama’. - The Leeds Guide.
